Ministry at the Three Borders ("Tres Fronteras")

CONNECT BRAZIL & TRES FRONTERAS in conjunction with Amazon for Christ continued the mission of the Great Physician as the team traveled by plane, bus, and boat to one of the least reached corners of the globe. Med-Evangelism helps open up brand-new areas for the Gospel and establishes bridges for new church plants.

Brazil is one of nine South American countries that share the vast Amazon Basin. The Amazon holds the largest concentration of uncontacted people found anywhere on earth. The team was based near Tabatinga (Amazonas, Brazil), ministering across borders into Leticia (Colombia) and Caballococha (Peru), traveling by riverboat to villages in urgent need of the Gospel.

Unique Aspects of Jungle Boat Ministry

The team experienced unforgettable aspects of missionary work unique to the Amazon riverways:

Key Highlights of the Expedition

  • Jungle Riverboat Clinics: Traveling deep into the tributaries of the Amazon River, anchoring at remote riverside docks to treat underserved river people.
  • Unreached People Groups: Sharing the Gospel message with indigenous tribes and villagers who rarely see doctors or evangelists.
  • Public School Evangelism: Entering local public schools with children's Bible lessons, gospel object lessons, and scripture portions.
  • Church Planting Partnership: Working alongside national pastors and missionary church planters to leave behind lasting spiritual fruit.

Host Missionaries & Field Leadership

The team was directed by Sean Lunday and hosted on the field by veteran BIMI missionaries and national partners:
