The Mission: Reaching Beni for Christ
CONNECT BOLIVIA in conjunction with Amazon for Christ continued the mission of the Great Physician traveling by plane, bus, and riverboat into one of the least reached corners of the earth. Providing free medical care is a proven key to open doors in areas otherwise closed to the Gospel message.
Bolivia is one of nine South American nations that share the Amazon Basin. The BOLIVIA CONNECT Team traveled to villages in the state of Beni, widely recognized as the least evangelized corner of Bolivia. The people of Beni live in small towns and fishing villages alongside indigenous tribes, with Spanish being the predominate language.
Historic Church Plant in Magdalena
The team focused its work in the city of Trinidad and the river village of Magdalena. The CONNECT Team had the privilege of coming alongside missionary Ernesto Salvatierra and his family to help establish their very first church plant in Magdalena—a town where no Baptist church had ever existed.
